011 Four Courts Explosion
'Here are seen a few of the cars, about one hundred all told, that were seized by the Irregulars from time to time. The courtyards are strewn with rubbish and fragments of barbed wire. There were four tons of land mines and other explosives in one room and two tons in another, and one wonders that one stone was left upon another. Had all these explosives been fired the destruction would have been much greater than it was'. ('Ireland's Tragic Week', p. 8)
