013 Main Hall, Four Courts
'The picture shows the scene presented in the Main Hall. Fragments of the dome and lofty interior pillars lie upon the floor, and the statues of O'Loghlen, O'Hagan, Whiteside, Plunket, Shiel, and Joy are destroyed or mutilated beyond repair. This great Hall was one of the finest interiors in Ireland'. ('Ireland's Tragic Week', p. 9)
