Supporters, Civic Reception for the Dublin Team, O'Connell Street, 25 September 1978
There was a huge turn-out on the streets of Dublin for the deposed champions. Supporters chanted 'We'll Support You Ever More' and amended the lyrics of Proud Mary to 'Rolling O'er the Liffey to Wood Quay'.
This photograph is from the Dublin City Council Photographic Collection. This unique collection is an educational resource and provides a basis for original research on the history of Dublin in the second half of the twentieth century.
